Getting to Logroño is easy and convenient.
Spain is the second most visited country in the world, with a wide range of international connections. Thanks to the additional summer routes opened by many airlines, most Spanish airports offer numerous low-cost connections linking Spain directly with other European countries. The northern region of Spain is well connected by a network of small to medium-sized airports, making travel to Logroño smooth and efficient.
Bilbao Airport (BIO) is the most convenient option, with a transfer time of around two hours by bus. For teams flying in from other continents, we strongly recommend arriving at Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD), which offers direct flights to major international hubs worldwide and is one of the most connected airports in Europe. The transfer from Madrid to Logroño takes about three and a half hours, with bus stops located just outside the terminals. Other viable airports include Vitoria, Zaragoza, and Santander, for which we can provide tailored travel quotations. While Barcelona is also an option, the transfer time is significantly longer, and we generally do not recommend it as a primary entry point. Logroño is also easily reachable by car or bus, just ninety minutes from the French border at Biarritz.
The Local Organizing Committee will provide a tournament shuttle service operated by a major transportation company, connecting Madrid (MAD) and Bilbao (BIO) airports directly with Logroño and your accommodation. All services are chargeable to the user.
Public buses are available and reliable, you can find the information and the time table at the following links (please note that some of the companies have not published their Summer time table):
- www.alsa.es (MAD)
- https://taquilla.jimenezmovilidad.es/ (MAD)
- https://cuadrabuslineas.com/ (Bilbao Intermodal*)
- https://alavabus.eus/eu/ (Bilbao Intermodal*)
*From Bilbao Airport you need to take the A3247 Bizkaibus on the right side outside the arrival area; the bus leaves every 15 minutes to Bilbao Intermodal and is a 20 minutes journey.
Teams may arrive as early as they feel necessary for preparation. For the moment, shuttle reservations are available only to teams; later in the registration process, the service will also open to individual players and staff members. Quotation requests can already be made if you know your team’s travel plans. We can also provide travel solutions for teams flying into Vitoria, Zaragoza, or Santander upon request.
If we are unable to provide a direct service, we will help by advising on the best alternative solutions available.
The latest date to book the shuttle service is April 30, 2026. After this deadline, availability cannot be guaranteed.
